Charity run is a social event held by IHMSI in collaboration with BINUS University in purpose to help funding an organization called “Bracelet of Hope” (An organization which help treating people with cancer). The event itself was held on 30th October from 6AM at Downtown Alam Sutera. Honestly it was very tough for me to woke up that day since i rarely wake up early on Sunday but thanks God i managed to woke up and arrived at Binus ALC at 6.30. Before i go to the main stage, i purposely went to the ALC to meet up with my friends and head to the main stage together.

Then at the main stage, there was a little greeting and opening speech by the Head of HIMSTAT followed by stretching and briefing about the starting and finishing position by the MC. After the short briefing, all the runners went to get in their position and we’re ready to go 🙂

At first everything went well, at least for the first 2 km me and my friends managed to run at a stable pace thanks to my training at the gym. Sadly after we went through the first lap, my friends were getting exhausted and began to slow down so that i have to accompany them walking for few hundred meters. Fortunately, there were many water stations placed around the running track so we don’t have to worry about getting dehydrated. In the end i left my friends and run on my own hoping that i could finish at the first top 10 but i couldn’t haha.

In the end of the day all of us managed to hit the finish line and so we took a little selfie to celebrate 🙂 I’d also like to encourage everyone to run everyday to enjoy the benefits …
